Sting Get 9-4 Win Versus Elizabeth Town
|
The Houston Sting topped the Elizabeth Town Thunder, 9-4, with youngster Dan Collins playing a key role. Collins went 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Sting in the win. Brendan Loos picked up the win, lifting his record to 1-0 on the season. He struck out 7 and walked 3 in 6 innings, while yielding 1 run. Houston is now 33-37, while Elizabeth Town is 16-55.
Early in the game, Collins had a grand slam home run for Houston. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Sting on top, 4-0.
