The Bandits grabbed a win, 3-2, at Bandits Grove, overcoming a fine effort from St. Petersburg pitcher Roberto Pacheco. Pacheco went 5.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. The winner in relief was Drew Sherman. He is now 2-3. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. Wayne Blanchard recorded the save, his 2nd.

Had Ryan Quigley not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Quigley hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Bandits.

Quigley called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
