Ocala Beaten, 5-4, by Kingwood in 15
|
The Kingwood Knights wiggled past the Ocala Knights, 5-4, at Levitow Park. The win was highlighted by the performance of Kingwood pitcher Roberto Charris. The Knights raised their record to 25-42.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Butch Laramie? The 20-year old second baseman Laramie stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 15th inning to put Kingwood up, 5-4. For the game, he was 3 for 6, including 1 double and 2 singles.
"I thought Roberto threw the ball well across the board," said Kingwood manager Kazuki Yamamoto.
