Dave Perez was outstanding against San Angelo. The right-hander, who leads the TA with a 13.1 K/9 rate, had a slider that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Knights 4-1 win. Darwin Lamb earned save number 1 this season. With the win, Ocala raised its record to 35-33.

Perez earned the win, going 8 strong innings for Ocala. The right-hander allowed just 2 hits, while striking out 13. San Angelo hitters had little success against him.

"I had a good game plan," said Perez. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Alexis Coates said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
