The Eureka Hornets clobbered the Jacksonville Pilots, 13-3, at Arnold Field. Leading the onslaught was John McKinley. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for Eureka. The winning pitcher was Jamie Barlow. He's now 2-4. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits for the Hornets. The Hornets improved their record to 27-22 with the win over Jacksonville.

Julio Rivera had a big grand slam home run for the Hornets in the top of the seventh inning. With Eureka leading 6-3 and the bases loaded, he sized up a curveball from fireballing 6' 9" right-hander Chris Bagley and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Hornets on top, 10-3.
