Lake Monsters Win with Late Heroics
Though he had a stellar game, Jacques Le Bereton could not prevent his team, the St. Paul Saints, from losing, 9-6, to the Okanagan Lake Monsters. Le Bereton was 5-6 with a home run and 3 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Ray Goulding, now 4-1, was credited with the win in 3 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 2 and walking 1. The second-place Lake Monsters have won 4 in a row.

Okanagan got a knockout punch from Raul Hurtado. The pinch hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said St. Paul manager Daisuke Nishida.
