Bandits Take Down River Bandits, 4-3
|
In a close game at Bandits Grove, the Brownsville Bandits edged the San Antonio River Bandits, 4-3. Brownsville second baseman Nate Parish stood apart with his performance. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Brownsville leads the RCL A Tommy Lasorda Division by 2½ games.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Parish hit a splitter from Bobby Cintron for a run-scoring single. The Bandits, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Parish said.
