The Victoria Vikings captured an easy win, 14-4, over the St. Petersburg Pelicans at Billy Mathews Field. Kevin Parker led the offensive barrage, going 4-for-4 for Victoria. Chris Cox, the winner, improved to 7-3. He held St. Petersburg to 4 runs on 5 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 10 strikeouts. The Vikings, at 52-24, have now won 9 straight.

Victoria used a clutch at-bat from Matt Cochran to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Vikings ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
