Bel Air pitcher Jay Buhner Jr. did his part in helping his team beat the Williamsport Crosscutters, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Buhner Jr. got the win, improving to 5-4. He allowed 3 hits and walked 6 over 8 innings. Buhner Jr. allowed 1 earned run. Picking up the save was Bill Campos, his 18th.
Maup Foucher, who is tied for 2nd in the RA in hits with 89, chipped in for Bel Air with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 2 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Bel Air manager Leland Austin said.
The second-place Princes improved to 42-32.
