NoBos Rebuff Civics, 4-2

The Campo NoBos wanted a good start from Octavio Miranda -- and he delivered one. The result was a 4-2 Campo win over the Ottawa Civics at Valhalla Summit. Miranda, the winner, moves to 5-3. He threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 3 walks. George Bow earned the save, his 4th.
In the bottom of the third, Matt Lauritano delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Campo first baseman hit a 2-run single, putting the NoBos in front, 4-2.
"Octavio gave us a very blue collar effort," said Campo manager Adrián Cortés.
The NoBos improved their record to 35-41 with the win over Ottawa.
