Bison Lose to Warriors, 4-1
|
Walnut Creek Warriors pitcher David Godinez was in top form, leading his team past the Bighorn Bison, 4-1. Darren Rogers collected his 7th save. Walnut Creek is now 25-23, while Bighorn is 19-31.
Walnut Creek shortstop Raul Garcia contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a slider to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 10th hit of the season and put the Warriors ahead, 4-1.
"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Godinez.
