5-1 Win Takes Princes to 32-29
|
The performance of Todd Meserole proved critical in helping Bel Air beat Eugene, 5-1. The Princes center fielder went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. Bel Air reliever Edgar Arredondo picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Tony Guerrero was tagged with the loss. The win for the Princes raised their record to 32-29.
Dave Munoz had a big run-scoring double for the Princes in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Bel Air leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Tony Guerrero and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 12th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Princes ahead, 3-1.
"We understand we didn't play our best baseball," said losing manager Kyung-chul Kim. "We'll shower it off and be ready to compete."
