Slumping Pelicans Lose Again
The Kingwood Knights got a strong performance from pitcher Ruben Cruz, who stymied the St. Petersburg offense en route to a win, 5-2, at Stable Park. Cruz, now 6-4, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 9, walking 6, and allowing 2 runs. The losses continue to add up for St. Petersburg, having now dropped 11 straight.

Noah Carr, who is tied for 8th in the THA with a .467 on-base percentage, helped out the Kingwood cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the designated hitter was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk.
