The Bloomington Blazers picked up a win at The Corral, knocking off the El Paso Mavericks, 5-3. Starting pitcher Josh McCloud played a key role in the triumph. Bloomington is now 32-25.

Bloomington used a well-timed hit by Salvador Paima to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Blazers ahead, 5-3. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Josh just settled in and did what he does," said Bloomington manager Scott Andrews.
