Diaz Slugs Armada to 10-5 Win
|
Omar Diaz powered the Quebec Armada to a win over the Buffalo Bison. The final score was 10-5. The Quebec first baseman, who finished 4th in the RCL in on-base percentage with .391 in 2050, was phenomenal. He stroked 3 extra-base hits, including 2 home runs and 1 double. Andrew Stith got the win, improving to 4-4. He held the Bison to 4 runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The Quebec win streak is now 3 games.
With Quebec trailing 4-2 in the top of the fifth, Diaz hit a sinker from Jorge Torres for a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Armada ahead, 5-4.
