Starting pitcher Jose Ortegon gave the Brisbane Bush Wackers a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Kingwood Knights, 3-2, at Baylor Ballpark. Javy Tamay earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 2-2. The 5th-place Bush Wackers now have a record of 22-46.

The decisive blow was delivered by Myles President in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 23-year old right-handed pitcher David Feldman to win the game for Brisbane. The home crowd went nuts.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Ortegon said after the game.
