Lacy goes 4-for-4, River Bandits Move to 43-26
|
The San Antonio River Bandits handed the St. Petersburg Pelicans a loss at Billy Mathews Field. The final score was 6-2. Robin Lacy was named player of the game for San Antonio. In addition to his 3 singles and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 2. San Antonio leads the RCLA Tommy Lasorda Division by 2˝ games.
With runs few and far between, the River Bandits had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for San Antonio came in the top of the sixth inning, when center fielder Baiko Kawano delivered a run-scoring double. The double was hit off Bill Almy and made the score 3-2, River Bandits. Kawano went 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
