Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at The Barn.

The Brownsville Bandits faced a tough opponent in Memphis pitcher Nate Murray, but found a way to pull out the victory at The Barn by a final score of 7-5 in 11 innings. Murray went 8 innings and allowed 3 runs. The Bandits, at 24-34, sit in 6th place in the RCL A Tommy Lasorda Division.

Brownsville took a 7-5 lead on Yasumitsu Watanabe's 22nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Watanabe hit in the top of the 11th, left Memphis pitcher Stuart Reece visibly frustrated.

"It took some doing, but we got what we came for," said Bandits manager Izumo Ikarashi.
