The San Antonio River Bandits faced a tough opponent in Victoria pitcher Josh Roby, but still scratched out a win at Dr Pepper Stadium by a final score of 8-7 in 11 innings. Roby went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. San Antonio's record now stands at 33-25, placing them second in the RCL A Tommy Lasorda Division.

The decisive blow was delivered by Dan Carnes in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a solo home run off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Matt Nicholas to win the game for San Antonio. The home crowd went nuts.

"I'm glad this one's going in the books as a 'W'," Carnes said.
