Taylor Rips 2 Home Runs in 8-1 Birdwings Triumph

The Hazleton Birdwings beat the Niagara Falls Barrels, 8-1, at Road Warriors Field. The win was due in part to catcher Jesse Taylor, who went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5. Hazleton is now 36-18. Niagara Falls is 34-22.
In the bottom of the second, Hazleton shortstop Jason Newman had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Newman stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 2-0, Hazleton. For the game, he went 1 for 3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
