Crosscutters Pin 5-4 Loss on Jedi Knights
|
Williamsport Crosscutters starter Josh Reddish was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 5-4. Reddish, now 4-6, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 8, walking 0, and allowing 4 earned runs. The last-place Crosscutters now have a win-loss record of 20-43.
Williamsport used the timely hitting of Tatsuyoshi Uchino to capture the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Crosscutters on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"It was our day today," Reddish told the Williamsport Daily. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
