Valencia Lifts Gnats to 11-5 Triumph
The timely hitting of Eduardo Valencia helped the Nichols Gnats down the San Angelo Mustangs, 11-5. Valencia was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for the Gnats. Nichols pitcher Damian Camacho got the win, upping his record to 3-3. Tony Nunez got the loss. Nichols is 33-20 and San Angelo, with the loss, 12-40.

Nichols needed the clutch hitting of Tim Thompson to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Gnats on top, 8-5. For the game, Thompson had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
