Rivas Delivers Walk-Off Win for Panthers
The St. Petersburg Pelicans and Charleston Panthers provided some drama for the home crowd.

St. Petersburg got a valiant performance from pitcher Dan Baughman, but it wasn't enough to beat the Charleston Panthers. Charleston won the game, 4-3. Baughman threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Charleston reliever Gene Aikman was credited with the win. His record goes to 3-0. Kelby Balaski took the loss for St. Petersburg.

The Panthers got a clutch hit from third baseman Mario Rivas. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Panthers.

"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Rivas.

The defeat makes St. Petersburg 12-49.
