Magicians Win Squeaker, 12-11, Over Knights
|
The Baltimore-Kingwood matchup turned into a slugfest.
Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Noah Carr, the Kingwood Knights lost to the Baltimore Magicians, 12-11. Carr was 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. This win makes it 9 in a row for Baltimore.
Baltimore shortstop Erik Lambert contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the eighth. With two down, he hit a cutter to left-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 8th hit of the season and put the Magicians ahead, 12-9.
"Swingers' gonna swing," said Lambert, after the high-scoring affair.
