Niagara Falls Barrels starter Harry Marella pitched a strong game against the St. Petersburg Pelicans at Billy Mathews Field, leading the Barrels to victory, 6-3. The winner was Marella. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 3 runs. The loser was Frank Alatorre. Tom Novak closed out the game, earning his 1st save.

Edgar Carlos came through with a big-time hit for Niagara Falls. The left fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 6-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Harry was fantastic," said Niagara Falls manager Ewan Pethick. "Great passion, great pace."
