Baltimore 37-23 After Beating Panthers
|
Baltimore pitcher Wu-shiun Kim had a large part in his team subduing the Charleston Panthers, 4-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Kim, now 2-3, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 5, and allowing 1 run. The wins continue to add up for Baltimore. The latest makes it 8 in a row.
Baltimore used a clutch at-bat from Geoff Sappington to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Magicians ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Losing makes me cranky," said Charleston manager Harry Howell. "And right now not even my dog wants to be around me."
