Parker, Vikings Too Much for Apples
The Victoria Vikings had no problem beating the Carmel Apples, 11-3, at The drakkar. Kevin Parker, who leads the THA in RBI with 57, led the onslaught. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored twice for Victoria. Chris Cox picked up the win with 8 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 3 hits, while walking 6 and striking out 11. On the season, he is now 5-2. The win elevated the Vikings to 36-20.

Early in the game, Parker had a 3-run home run for Victoria. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Vikings on top, 3-0.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Parker told the Victoria Daily. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
