The Moose Jaw Warriors overcame a pretty good performance by Victoria center fielder Jason Woodcock, beating the Vikings, 10-8, at The drakkar. Woodcock was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Nick Newell went 6 innings, allowing 5 runs on 9 hits. The left-hander struck out 4 and walked 4. With the win, he ups his record to 3-7 this season. With the win over Victoria, the Warriors improved to 27-30.

Elijah Douglas had a big 2-run double for the Warriors in the top of the seventh inning. With Moose Jaw leading 6-3 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Cory Rumley and swatted a double to right. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Warriors ahead, 8-3.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Douglas.
