Bowman, Magicians Beat Saints Like Rented Mule
The Baltimore Magicians put together a convincing win at Baltimore Stadium, defeating the St. Paul Saints, 23-1. Brian Bowman was one of the hitting stars. He was 4 for 4 with 4 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 3 and driving in 4 for Baltimore. Mario Lopez was the winner. He's now 1-1. The loser was 20-year old right-handed pitcher Danny Quinonez. The Magicians are now 34-23.

With Baltimore leading 2-0 in the bottom of the first, Bowman hit a 2-run single off St. Paul hurler Danny Quinonez. It was the 48th hit of the season for Bowman and put his team ahead, 4-0.

"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Les Silvas.
