The Memphis Blues downed the Moose Jaw Warriors, 9-7. The hitting star was third baseman Forrest Suggs. Suggs hit 2 home runs, while scoring 4 and driving in 3 for the Blues. Bobby Gottlieb closed it out for his 14th save. Memphis sits in second place in the TML HA Earl Weaver Division at 39-17.

Rich Tooze had a big bases-clearing double for the Blues in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Memphis leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Edgar Monterroso and swatted a double to center. It was his 12th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blues ahead, 6-2.

"Forrest is still learning," said Blues manager Mike Williams. "The sky's the limit for him."
