Brandt Hits 2 home runs in Sting Win
The Houston Sting stormed past the Brownsville Bandits, 12-6, at Woodland Park. Houston right fielderJohn Brandt , who is tied for 6th in the RA in triples with 4, led the hit parade. He was 4-5 with 2 home runs, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Houston reliever Juan Morales picked up the win, raising his record to 3-3. Franklin Lucero was tagged with the loss. The Sting saw their win-loss record go to 23-24. At the same time, the Bandits fell to 17-31.

Brandt contributed in the bottom of the second. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Houston get the win.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Brandt said after the game.
