Ocala Knights starter Hector Flores was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Ottawa Civics, 4-3. Stuart Byrnes, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.2 innings. The save went to John Cochrane, his 15th this season.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when designated hitter Larry Mark, who is tied for 3rd in the TA in home runs with 13, hit a triple. The Knights went on to win.
"Hector can bring it," said Ocala manager Alexis Coates.
Ocala is now 33-13, 3½ games up in the TML A Earl Weaver Division.
