It was a fun time at Woodland Park, where the Eugene Emeralds and Houston Sting tangled.

The Houston Sting defeated the Eugene Emeralds, 5-0, at Woodland Park today. Leading the charge for Houston was catcher Mark Hilton. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Daniel Anders earned his 5th save in 9 tries.

Hilton came through with some timely hitting for Houston. With the score 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth and two down, Hilton hit a 2-2 knuckle curve for a run-scoring single. His 36th hit of the season made it 2-0, Houston.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Hilton told the Houston Daily News.

The Sting move to 26-28 with the win, while the Emeralds drop to 23-29.
