Princes Get Gritty, 4-3 Win
|
The Bel Air Princes beat the Carmel Apples, 4-3, with major props going to third baseman Willie Castillo. On the day, Castillo was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Princes. Bel Air leads the RCL HA Tommy Lasorda Division by 2½ games.
Castillo contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Bel Air get the win.
"Winning is contagious," said Castillo. "We're looking forward to the next game."
