Butterflies Need Extra Frames to Get Past Eclipse
It took 11 innings, but the Pennsylvania Butterflies were able to beat the Chicago Eclipse, 11-9, at Millennium Field. Jim Knapp provided some offensive muscle for Pennsylvania. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Juan Cisneros earned the save for Pennsylvania, his 1st of the year. The Butterflies improved to 24-30.

Pennsylvania needed the clutch hitting of Nick Carnes to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Butterflies on top, 11-9. For the game, Carnes had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"Exciting game to play in," said Carnes. "Getting the win makes it even better."
