The Oconomowoc Five O's cruised to a win over the Chippewa River Chiefs, 12-3, at Arnold Field. Carlos Cota led the way, going 3-for-5 for Oconomowoc. Nate Miller picked up the win with 9 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 9. On the season, he is now 7-3. The first-place Five O's lifted their record to 35-15.

Dick Bezemer had a big 2-run double for the Five O's in the bottom of the second inning. With Oconomowoc trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a cutter from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Andres Parra and swatted a double to left. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Five O's ahead, 2-1.

Chippewa manager Pang Yip said: "We'll rinse this one off and get ready for the next game."
