The Walnut Creek Warriors downed the Bighorn Bison, 9-5, at Castlerock Field. Matt Saxton led the way, going 2-for-5 for Walnut Creek. The win elevated the Warriors to 24-22.

With Walnut Creek leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Saxton hit a sinker from Francisco Santiago for a grand slam home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Warriors ahead, 6-1.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Saxton told the Walnut Creek Daily News.
