Behind the hitting of Josh Thomas, the Chippewa River Chiefs defeated the Ocala Knights, 5-4. Thomas went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the River Chiefs. Chippewa reliever Brad Dillinger was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Stuart Byrnes took the loss. The River Chiefs sit in second place in the TML HA Dick Williams Division with a record of 29-19.

In the bottom of the ninth, Kyle Pennington knew he could end it with one good swing of the bat. And he did, hitting a run-scoring single off Ocala pitcher Stuart Byrnes.
