Oconomowoc Upended, 5-2, by Victoria

The home crowd had a good time watching the Oconomowoc Five O's and Victoria Vikings get after it.
The Victoria Vikings got a good effort from starter Rob Alexander in defeating the Oconomowoc Five O's at The drakkar. The final score was 5-2. In 7.2 innings, Alexander surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 7. He allowed 2 runs. Justin Andes got the save, the 13th for him this season.
Luis Lopez had a big 2-run home run for the Vikings in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Victoria leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from Guillermo Guajardo, who is tied for 5th in the THA with a 11.0 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Vikings on top, 4-1.
"Enjoyed this one," Lopez told the Victoria Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
The Vikings now have a record of 27-21 with the win over Oconomowoc.
