Long Swings Apples to 13-4 Win
The Carmel Apples easily defeated the Moose Jaw Warriors, 13-4, at BLM Stadium, with first baseman Art Long a main contributor to the win. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 6 for Carmel. The Apples now have a mark of 26-14.

Greg Eckelberry, who leads the TA in RBI with 51, had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Carmel designated hitter hit a run-scoring single. That put the Apples in front, 5-4.

"I still think this team can play even better," Long told the Carmel Observer.
