At Civics Field, the Brownsville Bandits and Ottawa Civics were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Ottawa pitcher Kyle Peacock had a large part in his team beating the Brownsville Bandits, 7-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Ottawa is now 21-19.
The Civics got a big at-bat from right fielder Jason Sitterle. For the game, Sitterle went 1 for 5 with a double. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Ottawa a 1-0 lead.
"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Peacock.
