Riding the 3-hit performance of the 21-year old second baseman Dave Robillard, the St. Paul Saints stopped the Brisbane Bush Wackers, 9-2, in 7 innings. Iukekini Makuakane picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-2. He struck out 3 in 5.2 innings.

St. Paul left fielder Josh Finley contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 25th hit of the season and put the Saints ahead, 3-0.

"We took a roundhouse punch to the chin," said losing manager Tan Yue.
