Joey Tripp, who finished 5th in the RCL in on-base percentage with .397 last year, had a 4-RBI night to help the Montreal Mounties down the Mexico City Luchadores, 7-6. Bill Wolfe earned the save for Montreal, his 15th. With the win, Montreal raised its record to 32-22.

Myles Leyte went 1-4 for Montreal. The 28-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring single off Alex Boulware. It was his 24th hit of the season.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Tripp, "but we got it done."
