Good production from right fielder Lorenzo Gameros helped the Houston Sting topple the Memphis Blues, 6-5. Gameros went 3-4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Sting. Luis Lugo picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Nick Marshall was tagged with the loss. Nelson Zermeno, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save.
Second Baseman Jeff Levine made an impact for Houston, when he swatted a 2-run double off Nick Marshall in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Levine went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
In comments to the Houston Citizen, Levine insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
Houston is now 14-23.
