Kingwood center fielder Tim Nichols made his presence felt in the 10-5 Knights triumph over the Nichols Gnats. Nichols went 2-2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Luis Montes, now 2-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 3 runs on 3 hits in 4.1 innings. The first-place Knights are 29-14.
