Gilliland Hits Two Dingers, Eclipse Win, 8-2
A good performance from shortstop Larry Gilliland helped the Chicago Eclipse defeat the El Paso Mavericks, 8-2. Gilliland slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Eclipse. Chicago now sports a record of 31-22.

With Chicago leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Gilliland hit a fastball from Frank Frisby for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Eclipse ahead, 4-0.

"Things went our way," said Gilliland.
