Mitchell 4-for-4, Leads Gnats to Win
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Nichols Gnats and Kingwood Knights.

The Nichols Gnats defeated the Kingwood Knights by the score of 11-5, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Adam Mitchell. Mitchell went 4 for 4 with 3 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Gnats on the day. Tzu-jao Kum was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

With Nichols leading 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth, Mitchell hit a sinker from Bobby Cazares for a run-scoring double. It was his 16th double of the season and put the Gnats ahead, 5-3.

"Their at-bats were really impressive against us," said losing manager Kagera Sokoine.

At 15-26, Nichols is in last place in the TML HA Earl Weaver Division.
