Warriors Victorious at Milwaukee, 5-2

The Walnut Creek Warriors got a strong performance from pitcher Bruce Moreno, who stymied the Milwaukee offense en route to a win, 5-2, at The Mandalore Complex. Moreno, now 4-3, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. Darren Rogers earned the save for Walnut Creek, his 6th of the year.
Dylan Sullivan had a big 2-run double for the Warriors in the top of the second inning. With Walnut Creek leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a splitter from Alex Solis and swatted a double to center. It was his 14th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Warriors ahead, 3-0.
"Bruce knows how to get ahead of hitters, stay ahead of hitters, and put people out," said Walnut Creek manager Miguel de la Rosa.
The Warriors now have a record of 23-22 with the win over Milwaukee.
