|
Pitcher Jeff Lee was rock solid in helping the Bighorn Bison beat the San Francisco Earthquakes, 2-1. Lee, now 7-1, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Nick Merritt closed out the game, earning his 6th save.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Riley Andrus? The Bighorn designated hitter had a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Bison on top, 2-0. For the game, Andrus had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
