Griswold Dazzles in Chippewa Win
Chippewa starter Clark Griswold put a stranglehold on the St. Paul offense. The right-hander had complete command of his slider in leading the River Chiefs to a 2-1 win. The River Chiefs, now 19-19, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.

Griswold, a native of Chicago, Illinois, was dealing all game. He kept St. Paul hitters off-balance, while giving the River Chiefs 7 quality innings. Griswold threw 86 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 8.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Griswold.
