Thompson Slugs Warriors to 12-8 Win
The rain came, as predicted, but the Moose Jaw Warriors and Brownsville Bandits were able to complete their ballgame.

The Moose Jaw Warriors used the hitting of left fielder Shane Thompson to subdue the Brownsville Bandits, 12-8. For the game, Thompson went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Edgar Monterroso picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Austin Dunn was tagged with the loss.

Moose Jaw used a timely hit from John Reed to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Warriors ahead, 9-8. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a difference-maker.

"I still think this team can play even better," Thompson told the Moose Jaw Times.

The Warriors improved their record to 23-17 by beating Brownsville.
