Sting Walk It Off for 16th Win of Season
|
Ottawa got a big-time effort from pitcher Adam McMullin, but it wasn't enough to keep the Houston Sting from winning the game, 4-3. McMullin threw 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. The win went to Danny Ros in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Tom House took the loss. After losing, Ottawa is 12-21.
Houston got a game-changing hit from Fernando Salazar. The left fielder blasted a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a winner.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Salazar.
